A rapid viva practice tool designed to help you navigate through the FRCA syllabus quickly and efficiently.
How it works
Each round presents a randomly selected topic from the FRCA syllabus.
You will have 30 seconds or 1 minute to speak about the topic before the next one appears automatically.
This rapid pacing simulates exam pressure, encouraging clear, structured answers while covering a broad range of topics.
Flag topics you want to revisit later for focused study.
Example Topic: IV induction agents
IV induction agents are the drugs we give through a cannula to bring someone off to sleep quickly and predictably. The ones we use most often are propofol, thiopentone, etomidate, ketamine, and sometimes midazolam.
Most of them work by enhancing GABA-A activity, so they increase chloride influx and quieten neuronal firing. Ketamine is the exception — it blocks NMDA receptors and gives a dissociative state with built-in analgesia.
